This recipe combines the creaminess of avocado with the delicate texture of silken tofu. Tossed in a savory soy dressing with a hint of spice, this quick and nutritious dish makes a light, flavorful meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
Silken_tofu
1 package
Avocado
1 whole
Soy_sauce
2 Tablespoons, low-sodium
Sugar
1 teaspoon
Sesame_oil
1 teaspoon
Sesame_seeds
½ teaspoon
Gochugaru
½ teaspoon (Korean chili flakes or red pepper flakes)
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Green_onions
½ cup, chopped
Red_or_green_chilis
¼ cup, chopped (optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Gently remove the tofu from its container and pour out excess liquid. Transfer the tofu onto a plate or bowl and soak up excess liquid with a paper towel.
Step 2
Slice the avocado into cubes or slices and line around the tofu.
Step 3
Combine all the sauce ingredients (soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, gochugaru, garlic, green onions, green chilis) in a bowl and pour over the tofu and avocado.

Tips & Notes
Always adjust to your personal taste. If you do not like spice, please remove the gochugaru and chilis.
The silken tofu can be served chilled or in room temperature. If you want it warmer, please microwave the tofu slightly for 30 seconds. Serve with a steamed bowl of rice or eat alone.
